so it has been a while, which is usual….but not this long of a while.

i have really been comtimplating a decision.

you see….

my love for food has always been aparent,

however it wasnt until i develped an eating disorder that my love for food transforemed into a food addiction.

since i had recently fully been moving into a full recovery from my problem, i have wondered if i really need this blog anymore….growing tired of spending so much time and energy dedicated to what i will eat and what i am eating.

so….since revovering more – because so far it has yet to disapear complely- i felt it was time i move away from this food obsession……because that is what it had become…..

i have decided however that it could be best just to continue on and start in a new direction.

i really enjoy my friends and interests found from this blogging world so far, as well as the support and relation i have felt to so many strangers.

i hope to continue on in an expanding and growing experience and to take this from there….with no real direction but happiness and healthiness form her on.

amazing pancakes


this morning i made pancakes!

they were my first pancakes from scrach..

i proudly sent a photo to my cousin and she quickly resonded…”how have you never made pancakes before?”

it was a good question…. and i did not have a good answer….

however, i will be making more, because, they were….amazing!

the recipe is a just an origional, plane jane, standard recipe for pancakes that i got off of

i did however add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract…..super pancakes!

for my love:

  • vanilla/cinnamon scented pancakes
  • honey almond butter in the middle
  • side of papaya
  • maple syrup in a pretty saucer (its meant for sake but maple syrup works too!)
  • dusted with powdered sugar (sprinkled really…. i do not have a sifter..)

he was playing sunday morning video games, i did not want to intrude so i delivered these to him quietly.. he was a happy boy.

for me:

just like ryans although mine is missing a quarter because i had to give alice a little sunday morning pancakes🙂


weeks eats

here are my eats for this week….been really working at saving money and making all of my edibles for work at home:

so there are my breakfasts..:

ok, so the fruit, i did not make at home😉

there were my lunches:

this was my super veggie sandwich,

rudi’s 7 grain bread is amazing! if you have not yet tried….do so now! please😉

i also made a super deluxe veggie wrap….although….this picture does not justify its super deluxe-ness….

oh and this….this was a lovely treat from my lovely husband….

he prepared it for me the night before while he was getting dinner together as i ventured home from school….in my beautiful new car might i add😉..

oh but back to this….it was like a yam pudding heaven….and i was in yam pudding heaven when i ate it….it made work and school all better..and it was made with love from my love so i felt a sentimental value nourishing my body too.

and our dinners….which my man has been generously volunteering to make most of my busy school week…. what a nice guy!

i made myself pasta last night..rye had leftover pasta i made him and salad

this pasta makes me so happy….

  • whole wheat pasta shells

  • a little teriyaki sauce….i know its weird but i like it!

  • cayenne
  • mahi burger with cheese
  • love it!

a girl that made me happy all week :

a car that made me happy all week! was spending time with its honda friend while i was at school..

Sunday Brunch

ok….so i have a secret….this is a sunday brunch from last sunday….but that doesn’t take away any of its sunday brunch special-ness dignity right?!

yes this is how behind i am….how do you all do it?

with work, school, my working out schedule and and fullfilling my duty to attain a somewhat high standard as a wife at home….i just cant find the time to fit in my bloggin at the end of the day…. i apologize- ill fit you guys in better somehow😉

so anyhow, look at what my husband blessed me with last sunday for brunch….

we didnt eat until about 1 and i was becoming impatient and starving-however, the wait was worth it:

our menu included:

  • rudis 7 grain bread french toast
  • egg frittata
  • fresh fruit
  • coffee
  • love

it was absolutely delicious and after devouring my entire plate, i was well fueled for our hike with alice later.

alice had some breakfast too :

later that day we came home and called it a day on the couch.

we watched gangs of new york- which we had not seen.

i was very impressed….and it is a very violent movie might i add….

but the acting is great.

i felt so guilty because i like the villans acting so much that i kept being tricked into liking his character and….he was a very, very bad man!

after lots of yummy assorted appetizing treats throughout our movie,

it was more mac and cheese for dinner!

inbetween my busy typing i got in a little breakfast:


  • voskos low fat greek (1st try-winner)

break number 2 i got in some workout time.

jullian michaels 40 min. 6 week, 6 pack- its a good one!


crunch 25 min. ass and abs- also great.

i made some quick fuel to continue on my typing:

we decided to be awesome last night….we snacked on cheese and crackers and we made….

i had a brown cow chocolate yogurt with peanutbutter

rye had hagendaas chocolate peanut butter ice cream.

a week of green and orange

its been such a busy week: hence the no blogging status!

so busy that i have not had time to do the usual lunch prepping everyday.

when this happens i turn to a few of my go to whole foods options: they happened to be a lot of orange and a lot of green-including the repetition of mango almost everyday!

anyone know how good carrots and almond butter is?

i am finally aware….it is a definite goodie!

raw kale salad-with pine nuts and dried cranberries

brussel sprout and golden beet salad- with walnuts and thyme

kale and beet salad- with feta and dried cranberries

egg and cheese breakfast wrap- it was a first but really did the job!

caesar salad- with a few salad bar extras

yes its bran….but yes i love it !
