weeks eats

did you think i forgot?

here are my eats for this week….been really working at saving money and making all of my edibles for work at home:

so there are my breakfasts..:

ok, so the fruit, i did not make at home ūüėČ

there were my lunches:

this was my super veggie sandwich,

rudi’s 7 grain bread is amazing! if you have not yet tried….do so now! please ūüėČ

i also made a super deluxe veggie wrap….although….this picture does not justify its super deluxe-ness….

oh and this….this was a lovely treat from my lovely husband….

he prepared it for me the night before while he was getting dinner together as i ventured home from school….in my beautiful new car might i add ;)..

oh but back to this….it was like a yam pudding heaven….and i was in yam pudding heaven when i ate it….it made work and school all better..and it was made with love from my love so i felt a sentimental value nourishing my body too.

i made myself pasta last night..rye had leftover pasta i made him and salad

this pasta makes me so happy….

  • whole wheat pasta shells
  • spinach
  • butter
  • olive oil
  • garlic
  • a little¬†teriyaki¬†sauce….i know its weird but i like it!
  • parmesan
  • pepper
  • cayenne
  • mahi burger with cheese
  • love it!

with a side of¬†cranberry/water/truvia ūüôā ūüôā

a girl that made me happy all week :

..it was spending time with its honda friend while i was at school..

sasha and peanut butter jelly time.

ryan is still away.

the good news is, i have been getting a lot of my sasha time in.

thursday she came over after work and alice was more than ecstatic to see her..

this was her within a minute of sash sitting down:

..the girl¬†doesn’t¬†waist any time.

sasha and i had a very nice date out to sushi!

i have been craving sushi and italian food all week!

pretty much simultaneously. this helped for a moment..the craving comes right back though..

when we got home i made us desert:

in sasha’s

  • vanilla greek yogurt
  • almond butter
  • bran cereal-total bran/weetibix
  • 365 honey morning o’s
  • my secret weapon: dark chocolate kit kat ūüėČ

in mine:

  • vanilla almond milk
  • my trio cereal mix (same as sasha’s)
  • a bit of almond milk
  • dark chocolate kit kat (!)

friday….was peanut butter jelly time!! ..and almond butter..and oats in a jar ¬†ūüėČ ūüėČ

it had been way..to long. it was absolutely fantastic.

i sent rye a good morning kiss.

getting to the gym was really hard and once i finished cardio and only one weight machine i was done!

i got home and couldnt even get myself to shower before crashing on the couch.

dave wasted no time in taking that opportunity for cuddle time, alice was hard at work on a bone:

i took all of these photos for rye..even one of my bachelorette house keeping skills….

sasha came over again ūüôā

we watched 127 hours..i thought it was really good!….not to mention upsetting…. the movie was really well done and captivating especially¬†considering¬†it took place almost in one location the entire movie.

for dinner i made broiled cheese bread and veggies:

(have i mentioned these are inspired by “http://www.peanutbutterrunner.com/” blog’s, i really love her blog and these are great! just put on your¬†desirables¬†and stick them under the broiler for about 6 min. give or take….but watch them, they will burn before you know it! trust….i know from¬†experience.)

for the cheesy toast:

  • la brea bakery multi grain

  • raw mushrooms

  • 1 toast con swiss cheese
  • 1 toast con colby jack cheese
  • ūüėČ

dessert we had mini chocolate cheesecakes from whole foods, i put it on a plate over a little¬†dollop¬†of whipped cream with a¬†piece¬†of xo dark chocolate with cherries….the cheesecake wasn’t as great as i thought.. ūüė¶ )

alice and dave were adorable! and being snuggle bunnies:

monday tuesday happy days..

hi beauties!

so the weeks are jam packed.

between work, school, the commute, the traffic, the homework, the fitness, & the alice….

well i just cannot seem to find much time anywhere in between!

monday morning i was up at 4- i decided to do some workout videos at home and skip the gym.

do you know that if you have “on demand” there are tons of great workout videos for free! (some better than others..just go fishing and take the good stuff.)

i did a 26 min. “legs and butt” by crunch gym…its so awesome!

i can tell it really works because not to long after my body demands food.

then i did a 23 min. abs..good stuff.

i have been trying to save money, so i made my coffee that morning! and it was so nice to finish a work out and just walk into the kitchen and be ready to move onto getting ready. (as opposed to driving to the gym..driving back..in the cold..in the dark..in a rush..)

for breakfast i did a mixer:

(couldnt decide..oatmeal or cereal..so why not both)

  • “better oats” packet with a bit of hot water (to get everyone¬†acquainted)
  • unsweetened¬†vanilla almond milk
  • 365 honey morning o’s
  • weetibix crispy flakes
  • natures path smart bran…

delicious!

i was surprised when 11 came creeping around because i was surprisingly starving!

i figured breakfast would tie me over at least for a little longer but it was time.

sorry if these salads are getting boring but i really just cant get enough!

on my way to school i had a treat:

when i got home the kids were more than ready to eat..it was nearing 8..

they went to town..alice took a breather for a sec to check that dave didnt have anything special going on that she wasnt apart of:

for din i threw down a quick and most scrumptious grilled cheese.. nice, simple and delicious!

have you had pop chips yet? it was my first try…they are really good!

and a little night cap before sleeping….sometimes i just cant sleep without something sweet to settle me down!

tuesday was very similar…i am sorry..same old same old….but it pleases me..if that makes any difference:

i brought my coffee..wohoo for me 2x in a row ūüėČ

salad of course..this time with my fave sesame crackers!

i snacked on the amazing sumo tangerine on the way to school:

 

and for dinner i stopped and got baja fresh mahi tacos…. ūüėČ it was late..they were delicious.

chocolate&peanut butter cupcakes

wednesday at work we threw a bake sale to raise money for a young amazing coworker whom has recently and unexpectedly had to fight a severe cancer.

i chose to make chocoalte and penut butter cupcakes.

well it all started with this lineup:

i did a little measuring, a little pouring and a little mixin,

into the cups went luscious the mixture:

 

the oven did a little bakin and this is what i got:

peanut butter frosting rightfully so:

rye and i had to test one out..we had to,

it towered proudly over the others..it was the king of the bunch for sure:

test approved…. it passed and pleased

after work yesterday, rye and i went to the gym and had a really good workout. i am really enjoying him as a work out buddy this week due to his miny vacation.

for dinner, we decided to go our own seperate ways. i was in the mood for something light and not heavily seasoned. i had lentils, he had beans and we both had salad, and arrogant bastard !

we settled in and watched season 4 of i.t. crowd. so sad that the season is so short!

of course we needed a night cap:

for mwah: peanut/honey almond butter con fruit

for rye: peanut/sunflower/honey almond butter con kitkat

i called it a night and was asleep by 8:45! i awakened once, assuming it was sure to be close to 5, and it was only 10:30! it was awesome.
