weeks eats

did you think i forgot?

here are my eats for this week….been really working at saving money and making all of my edibles for work at home:

so there are my breakfasts..:

ok, so the fruit, i did not make at home ūüėČ

there were my lunches:

this was my super veggie sandwich,

rudi’s 7 grain bread is amazing! if you have not yet tried….do so now! please ūüėČ

i also made a super deluxe veggie wrap….although….this picture does not justify its super deluxe-ness….

oh and this….this was a lovely treat from my lovely husband….

he prepared it for me the night before while he was getting dinner together as i ventured home from school….in my beautiful new car might i add ;)..

oh but back to this….it was like a yam pudding heaven….and i was in yam pudding heaven when i ate it….it made work and school all better..and it was made with love from my love so i felt a sentimental value nourishing my body too.

i made myself pasta last night..rye had leftover pasta i made him and salad

this pasta makes me so happy….

  • whole wheat pasta shells

  • a little¬†teriyaki¬†sauce….i know its weird but i like it!

  • pepper
  • cayenne
  • mahi burger with cheese
  • love it!

..it was spending time with its honda friend while i was at school..

saturday=homework day

inbetween my busy typing i got in a little breakfast:

 

  • voskos low fat greek (1st try-winner)
  • honey¬†morning¬†o’s
  • weetibix bran
  • apple , banana
  • honey almond butter
  • ūüôā

break number 2 i got in some workout time.

jullian michaels 40 min. 6 week, 6 pack- its a good one!

and

crunch 25 min. ass and abs- also great.

i made some quick fuel to continue on my typing:

it was a great success!

we decided to be awesome last night….we snacked on cheese and crackers and we made….

mac and cheese!

i had a brown cow chocolate yogurt with peanutbutter

rye had hagendaas chocolate peanut butter ice cream.

smoothie in a pb cup

i try and get my greens in during the day..

but i also like my sweets.

today i combined them.

it started with this:

and the end of this:

i made this before work:

smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 big handful’s of spinach
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 teaspoon spirolina
  • 1/2 tablespoon raw honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon coconut butter

(some coconut flakes on top would also be a success)

 

i wasnt sure how this would turn out but i poured away:

i cut a little bit of this and poured a little bit of that.

toppers:

  • organic apple, blueberries, kiwi
  • natures path vanilla almond granola
  • raw honey

it turned out to be truly a great one.

it carried me through work and i was off with alice for a hike:

(after a little snack of my leftover kobocha squash from last night..new fave on the go snack..its like candy mm)

yes alice..it was a bit sunny but wheres all that energy you had last night?

guess she was in need of some smoothie in a pb cup herself.

we had a nice time together.

whatever your heart desires

after work yesterday, rye and i went to the gym and had a really good workout. i am really enjoying him as a work out buddy this week due to his miny vacation.

for dinner, we decided to go our own seperate ways. i was in the mood for something light and not heavily seasoned. i had lentils, he had beans and we both had salad, and arrogant bastard !

we settled in and watched season 4 of i.t. crowd. so sad that the season is so short!

of course we needed a night cap:

for mwah: peanut/honey almond butter con fruit

for rye: peanut/sunflower/honey almond butter con kitkat

i called it a night and was asleep by 8:45! i awakened once, assuming it was sure to be close to 5, and it was only 10:30! it was awesome.

i was scurrying around the kitchen early this a.m. (still a bit jumpy from the movie last night) to ready my usual breakfast before work as well as breakfast for a coworker!

for her:

peanutbutter & jelly & banana toasted sandwich

pb&j&b:

  • miltons healthy grain
  • bonne maman rasperry preserves
  • organic peanut butter
  • organic very ripe (very sweet) banana

for myself, i finally gave a go at these overnight oats i have been hearing so much about! and the verdict….um love em!

my breakfast really turns more into lunch. i ate a little of my fruit with my coffee but wasnt feeling up to my breakfast until my lunch break.

here was my line up of treats in my fancy prada (now) lunch bag:

i had a sudden need for almond butter so i saved the peanut butter and had my oats with this instead, so good!

overnight oats before almond butter:

my first overnight oats:

  • 1/3 cup organic old fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup of plain, non fat greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup organic, unsweetened almond milk (would also be great with vanilla!)
  • cinnamon
  • tsp vanilla extract

ps the i heart pears at the moment!

and for a pre-work out/snack/lunch i had a smoothie on my way home from work:

spinach and romaine smoothie:

  • 1 head organic romaine lettuce
  • couple handful’s organic spinach
  • 1/2 frozen organic banana
  • 1/4 cup organic unsweetend almond milk
  • 1 tbsp organic coconut butter
  • 1 packet truvia sweetner

it was a bit romain-y, may be sweeter with a whole banana.

Sunday morning breakfast. i had a late saturday night and was in need of something cold, light and very green to revive me. i came up with this creation:

smoothie:

  • 5 dino kale leaves
  • lots of spinach!
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 tbls coconut butter
  • 1 truvia packet for sweetening

toppers:

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/4 cup natures path vanilla granola
  • 1 tbls shredded coconut
  • 1 tbls peanut butter

vwalla, it was a sweet success!
